CAST is the Tasmanian Delivery Partner for the JUMP Mentoring Program, and also provides assistance to emerging artists applying to the Australia Council ArtStart Grants.
JUMP is supported by the Australia Council for the Arts and is Australia’s largest mentoring program for artists aged 18-30, who are in the first five years of their professional practice.
This year Youth Arts Queensland in collaboration with CAST have awarded 7-mentorships for Tasmanian artists. 2012 JUMP mentees Alec Balcombe, Dylan Sheridan, Fernando do Campo, Megan Perkins, Laura Hindmarsh, Selena de Carvalho and Travis Tiddy will undertake a one-on-one mentorship with a leading professional of their choice, focused on a funded creative project. During the 10-month mentorship, artists will be supported to significantly expand their national, professional networks through online profiling and other professional development opportunities.
