Trudi Brinckman lives and practices in Hobart. In 2004 she was awarded a Master in Fine Arts in Sculpture from the Tasmanian School of Art, University of Tasmania. She has lectured in Sculpture at the Tasmanian School of Art. Brinckman has recently been awarded a 2009 Arts Tasmania wilderness residency and the University of Tasmania's, Rosamund McCulloch studio in Paris 2009. Brinckman has exhibited locally and nationally and is currently researching the use of familiar materials in sculpture to investigate the connection between our physical environment and human experience.
