Mish Meijers is an installation artist with an inter-disciplinary practice involving drawing, painting, sculpture, works made from sugar, moving image and sound. Further to this, Meijers is part of an ongoing collaborative art project with Tricky Walsh on the Collector project, centred on the creation of the fictional character Henri Papin through the creation of complex installation works. Papin has had four exhibitions to date. She also collaborates with artists Tricky Walsh and Alicia King in the Holy Trinity project. She was a recipient of a Rosamund McCulloch Studio residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris for 4 months in 2008, and more recently completed a 12 month studio residency at CAST in 2009. She is a co-founder and active member of Hobart’s newest artist-run-initiative, 6a.
