CAST Gallery

Fred Fisher was born in Orange, New South Wales, in 1945. In 1990 he completed a Master of Fine Art (Sculpture) at the University of Tasmania, Hobart and has recently completed his PhD at the same institution. He has also held positions as a Tutor and Honorary Research Associate at UTAS. Fisher has been exhibiting since 1990 and recent group exhibitions include the National Sculpture Prize and exhibition, NGA Canberra (2001 and 2005), Rhapsody 21C: Tasmanian contemporary art, Academy Gallery, UTAS, Launceston (2005),  Deluxe, Plimsoll Gallery, UTAS, Hobart (2006) and The Arresting Image, Plimsoll Gallery, UTAS, Hobart (2009). Fred Fisher lives and works in Hobart.
