Jon Williamson is an artist and a founding director of Inkpot Studios, a graphic design and screenprinting studio, located in Hobart. Williamson completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in printmaking, at the Tasmanian School of Art, University of Tasmania in 1987.

Over the past two decades Williamson has worked as a master printmaker with a numerous Tasmanian artists, as well as in the design and/or manufacture of components for other artworks. In his own art practice, he draws eclectically on an industrial aesthetic and from the chaos of modern life. His materials consist of discarded machines and other gadgets that are otherwise overlooked or considered useless.

Williamson has exhibited in various group exhibitions, including exhibitions in Hobart, Poland, Canada and Spain. His work was most recently exhibited in the Infinite Empire at CAST Gallery, Hobart in 2007.
