Aurelien Police was initially inspired by cinematic experiences such as La Cité des Enfants, Perdus by Jean Pierre Jeunet, Dark City, Brazil and Metropolis along with English and American 19th Century literature.

His highly imaginative works are often sought after as a visual complement to other artistic commentaries on the future, such as albumn covers - Tales and Dreams by Kwoon (2006), Le Manifeste des Hommes-briques by Clock (2007), Evolution/Revolution by Voss- as well as illustrations for a French role-playing game, Vermine, published by Teme Cercle (2006) and for the French magazine Science et Vie Junior Hors-Série (2006-2007).  Police has also been Art Director for the short movie Coupé Court (2006-2007) and participated in an audio-visual exhibition "Le Fée des Eaux Dormantes" (The Fairy of Stagnant Waters) set in the castle of Fougère-sur-Biève (France) for the Monuments Nationaux (2007).
