Tracey Cockburn lives and works in Hobart. She has a Bachelor of Design and Masters Degree in Fine Art. In 2006 she was the winner of the Hobart Art Prize. She balances her art practice with work as an arts officer for a local council. Tracey has exhibited work in Hobart, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, New Zealand and Siberia. Tracey’s practice has centred on a fascination with pattern and decoration and has used these elements as a vehicle to explore notions of forgotten histories and place.
