Amanda Shone holds a Bachelor or Fine Arts (Honours) from the University of Tasmania. In 1997 she completed a Diploma of Visual Arts at RMIT TAFE and, after experimenting with other career paths and exotic travels, she returned to the study and practice of art making, choosing Hobart as the location for such endeavors.
Amanda has exhibited both in Melbourne and Hobart. With an interest in how we relate to and perceive the spaces that we inhabit, Amanda is investigating the possibility of transcending the mundane by drawing on everyday environments to imagine a way into other-worldliness.
